"The Singapore Environment Council said yesterday that it is renovating a house on Ubin to showcase environmentally friendly ideas.

Its Environmental Hub, also a short walk from the bumboat jetty, will be powered by solar panels and have flooring made of recycled plastic, said Mr Grant Pereira, head of the council's Green Volunteers Network.
