1.5cm. Circular body with long antennae. Two pairs of long fringed swimming legs and two pairs of much shorter legs bent over the back to hold onto a leaf or shell. Mangroves, seagrasses, also near reefs. Commonly seen on our Northern shores.
1-2cm. With elongated pincers much longer than the body. Body triangular or pentagonal. Found among seaweeds. Seagrasses and seaweeds. Commonly seen on our Northern shores. 0.5-1cm. Body flat triangular. Walking legs and pincers long. Seagrasses and seaweeds. Sometimes seen on some of our shores. 0.5-1cm. Body flat triangular. Spindly legs and short pincers. Often covered in debris. Seagrasses and seaweeds. Sometimes seen on some of our shores.

3cm. Body is oval, antennae very long and feather-like, legs flattened, spade-like. Usually buried with only antennae sticking out. Rarely seen. 1-2cm. Body smooth and pebble like with a blunt pointed head. Large powerful pincers with pointed claws. Silty, sandy areas near seagrasses. Sometimes seen on our Northern shores.

Males with long orange pincers of equal size. Soft mud in the back mangroves. 1-2cm. Body and claws bright red with bumps and ridges. Coral rubble. Seen once on Labrador. 1 cm. Pincers with spoon-shaped tips, body flat. Commonly seen under stones near reefs.

Sometimes seen on our Southern shores. 1cm. Found only in feather stars. Colour and pattern matches feather star host. Rarely seen. 1 cm. Hairy body, legs and pincers. Found only in Acropora and Pocillopora hard corals. Sometimes seen on some of our Southern shores. 2-3cm. Body oval, covered with velvety hairs. Carries coral rubble pieces. Rubble and reefs on some of our shores.
