Excite your senses with our Garden Kitchen Tour. Find out how vegetables are grown before it gets onto your plate! You will also learn about some natural remedies that our grandmothers might have planted in their own backyard. More details on the NParks website.

Trees serve as the backbone of Singapore as a world renown Tropical Garden City. For more than 30 years, trees have been planted all over the island serving various purposes. BUT did you know that the Tembusu Tree featured on Singapore’s $5 currency note is located right here in the Singapore Botanic Gardens? Come and join us for a guided walk through the Gardens where many of the trees are about as old as the Gardens (close to 150 years) itself! Suitable for family groups (including children of Pri 1 to Lower Sec Levels)

6 Sep (Thu): Wet Fun For All!

Bring out your sun block and head on down to WaterCross@Pasir Ris Park for a great variety of water fun activities! Special programs have been arranged especially for kids. These include banana boat rides, a kayak orientation course, sand castle experience, ski rides and many more!

What exactly is a mudskipper? And who is Fiddler crab or Sesamine crab? Does a dog-faced water snake look more like a dog or a snake? Join the team and discover answers to the questions above and more. And if we’re lucky, we may be able to see some of the seashore animals at the river mouth (depending on the tide conditions).

8 Sep (Sat): Pony Camp - A Day With The Ponies

This is probably the only chance you have to get up-close and personal with a pony. The ponies are inviting any interested children and their parents to their home at Pasir Ris Park. Besides seeing where they sleep and work, the ponies may even let you feed and bath them. And if you have been on your best behaviour, they may even let you ride them.

Main Bridge8 Sep(Sat): Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve free guided walk

You'll see the fabulous plants and animals of the mangroves and freshwater wetlands. Besides the abundant bird life, there is also other fascinating wildlife in the Reserve. more

Time: 9.30 am and 3.30pm for walk in guests, register at the Visitor Centre. Those coming with large groups are advised to pre-register.
Tour duration: one to one and a half hours. Easy trails, some suitable for young children.
Entry charges: $1 per adult, 50cents per child/student/senior citizen.

A fabulously easy introduction to a rainforest with tall trees and other mysterious plants! Right in the heart of the city, within minutes of Orchard Road, this is the oldest remnant of rainforest in Singapore! more

Time: 9am, 10am, 11am, 4pm; Register 15 minutes before the tour at the Visitor Centre.
Tour duration: one hour. Suitable for young children.
A special Mandarin version of this tour is at 4pm.

You'll see breath-taking views of the reservoir and surrounding forests and learn more about the freshwater and land wildlife and plants there. This stroll on the boardwalk is suitable for young children. more

Time: 9.25am. Meet at entrance of the trail, about 50m after the canoe kiosk on the eastern side of MacRitchie Reservoir Park.
Tour duration: about one hour.

10 Sep (Mon): Screening of "Remember Chek Jawa" a film by Eric Lim

“Remember Chek Jawa” by independent Singapore filmmaker Eric Lim, chronicles the discovery of one of Singapore's rare natural gems and how a group of untrained locals tried to preseve it from total loss. Eric will be present to meet the audience after the screening. This is part of the Asian Film Symposium.
