About 70cm. Large, long bill, black-and-white plumage. Coastal forest at Pulau Ubin and Changi. Commonly seen. Colourful male (about 80cm) with white ear patches and a white puff at base of tail. Drab female (about 40cm) dull brown streaky plumage with white ear patches. Their feet lead-grey. Commonly seen at Pulau Ubin and some coastal parks.
