Nature activities and events happening this week

8-14 Dec 2003

Nudibranchs in Singapore Waters

Place: Geylang East Community Library, Merpati Hall auditorium. Geylang East Avenue 1, and is only 5 minutes walk away from the Aljunied MRT station

Jim Wong of the Marine Conservation Group introduces these “reckless colours splashed like intricate artwork on the canvas of the sea floor.” – one would never have imagined that there would exist such intricate beauty in nature if one had not gone deeper into the realm of the underwater world. ‘Slugs’ and ‘snails’ – such names may hardly cause any excitement to a land-bound nature enthusiast, but those who have seen their underwater relatives know better! Shot on location in Singapore waters, the talk will include additional footage from regional waters.
