26 Jul (Sat): Visit to Khatib Bongsu
Time: 7.30am at the Dam of the Lower Seletar Reservoir at the end of Yishun Avenue 1
Open only to NSS members and associates

Visit Khatib Bongsu with Ho Hua Chew Meet of the Nature Society (Singapore). This important nature area in the Singapore Green Plan is excluded from the URA Master Plan 2003. We will be taking a look at how the URA Master Plan will drastically affect the site and welcome all support to help save this area of natural beauty. Come enjoy this scenic location before it really goes.

26 Jul (Sat): Kids Fun with Flowers
by the Nature Society (Singapore) Education Group
Time:
3.30 pm at the Botanic Gardens. Meet earlier at the Visitor Centre.

Ever wondered why some flowers are yellow and some red? Or how come some flowers are fragrant and yet some others smell bad? If you are between the ages of 5 and 11 yrs and want to learn more about flowers, come join us! And we have a store of games for you! Bring along a pencil and your nature journal if you have one. A nominal fee of $5 (members) or $10 (non-members) per kid will be collected.

26 Jul (Sat): Guided walk at Pasir Ris Park
Time: 10am, meet at Station Control Pasir Ris MRT station.

A 2-hour walk organised by the Green Volunteer Network. More details about Pasir Ris Park.

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

27 Jul (Sun): Free "Painting with Pui San"
at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

Time: 8.30am-11am.

Pui San welcomes artists of all ages or anyone who wants to learn. His objective is to encourage creativity while enjoying nature at the same time.
Bring along your favourite drawing or painting supplies. Meet 8.30am at the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve ticketing counter (Visitor Centre). Usual entry charges apply: $1 per adult, 50cents per child /student/senior citizen.
