Nature activities and events happening this week 21-27JULY 2003 26 Jul (Sat): Visit to Khatib Bongsu Time: 7.30am at the Dam of the Lower Seletar Reservoir at the end of Yishun Avenue 1 Open only to NSS members and associates Visit Khatib Bongsu with Ho Hua Chew Meet of the Nature Society (Singapore). This important nature area in the Singapore Green Plan is excluded from the URA Master Plan 2003. We will be taking a look at how the URA Master Plan will drastically affect the site and welcome all support to help save this area of natural beauty. Meet earlier at the Visitor Centre. Ever wondered why some flowers are yellow and some red? Or how come some flowers are fragrant and yet some others smell bad? If you are between the ages of 5 and 11 yrs and want to learn more about flowers, come join us! And we have a store of games for you! Bring along a pencil and your nature journal if you have one. A nominal fee of $5 (members) or $10 (non-members) per kid will be collected.
