green seaweeds Caulerpa webbiana* Family Caulerpaceae updated Jan 13 Where seen? This green seaweed is sometimes seen in clumps covering an area of about 20cm, on coral rubble among seagrasses on our Southern shores. Features: Each stem about 4-6cm long with tiny bristles made up of many branched fine filaments, arranged in whorls around the central 'stem' to give the overall appearance of a stiff bottlebrush. Green to olive green. |
