Where seen? These odd blue 'brains' are sometimes seen on our Southern shores, on rubble near reefs .

Features:
10-15cm in diameter. Rubbery blobs forming on hard surfaces or on stones, with meandering ridges that resembles the surface of a brain. A few small holes seen only when submerged. Usually beige with shades of pale blue or green.

Terumbu Raya, Feb 09

*Species are difficult to positively identify without examination of internal parts.
On this website, they are grouped by external features for convenience of display.
