wild photos: Lazarus Island 6 Jul 04, 6am
Today I went for a special trip to Lazarus Island. I was last there two years ago, just as the reclamation works started in earnest on the island and the surrounding area.

Today, while the shore is certainly not as rich as it was before, there was still lots to see. The living spider conch was a particular treat. This beautiful snail is now considered endangered in Singapore.

Seaweeds were plentiful, and there were some soft corals. There were fewer large hard corals, although a wide variety of small ones could be seen.
